Local Infant Feeding Groups and support
New Mums
Sometimes we just need to talk and have someone listen; to know that there are others experiencing similar feelings and events. Home Start Infant Feeding Peer Support has tried to take this on board especially during the current Covid 19 situation. We’ve moved our breastfeeding groups to online groups with the emphasis on meeting other mums and encouraging mums to bring along a cuppa and something to eat to the zoom session. We have seven groups now for Oldham and Tameside mums throughout the week for both antenatal and postnatal mums. We have groups to suit everyone, no matter how they are feeding their baby. We realise that the important thing is to meet and share experiences. Oh and if you have a feeding query about breastfeeding, mixed feeding, expressing or formula you can ask away too especially in the antenatal social group. As one mum says ‘You meet lots of other people, going through similar things to you.’
